The tail end of my employment at Trust Assurance Network consisted of heading the visual aspect of our outreach efforts. The company had a number of technologies that could be applied in various arenas such as EdTech, FinTech, Hospitality, Compliance etc. My job was to design explanatory diagrams and theoretical app screens demonstrating what our technology did and what it could look like for our prospects.

The first concept I worked on was a theoretical a credit card use tracker and rewards program that would be housed within a user's existing mobile banking app. The idea was that POS transactions would be stamped on the blockchain. This would both offer an extra layer of payment security and allow for cost-efficient rewards programs for financial institutions.
A major component of the Trust Assurance Network suite was the mobile content publisher. The platform was a method for engagement & presentation of electronic documents. Each document could be broken down into “chunks” and the platform could generate basic comprehension questions for each chunk of text.
While the SpoonRead eReader was the first use-case for this technology, we brainstormed for other applications. One such application would be useful in corporate compliance. Employers would be able to track employee engagement and employees could be rewarded for timely content consumption.
We saw an opportunity to combine multiple technologies with the tutor platform. The parent-child relationship could leverage our identity cloud system to allow parents to sign off on student-initiated tutor hiring requests. The MCP would allow content to be loaded by tutors and interacted with by students. The notary+ system would allow student work and grades to be stamped on the blockchain so that students could share their verified coursework with educational institutions. Finally the loyalty platform would allow parents to hire tutors and pay them automatically based on event-triggers.
A few members of our team were avid golfers who thought consultancy work in the golf world would be a fun challenge. During the pandemic, there was a significant increase in new golfers. The two primary issues that arose as a consequence were poor treatment of the course and slow play.
We sought to tackle the first issue by creating a hypothetical incentives program that would reward members for reading etiquette and club content (using the MCP to verify reading). In order to help speed up play time, we thought up a check-in scanner that would reward players for finishing games early.
One prospect was an ed-tech company based primarily in South Africa. They were interested in the MCP to be developed into a learning platform. We had discussed partnering with local banks to implement a donor program that could reside within the content platform. Donors would be able to sponsor students' tuition, uniforms, fees etc. and students would be able to make purchases and manage their balances.
Our primary focus during the sales outreach process was finding a home for our loyalty platform. The advantage of our loyalty platform was based on its use of the blockchain. The system was built on a stable token which allowed customers to redeem marketplace offers with ease and with high transparency. Expensive Fiat currency transfer fees were made null. Loyalty platform providers could charge interest on credit agreements and charge fees at various points. The whole system was tied together by digitally notarized ledgers. All money in, out, and transactions made could be tracked in real time. The associated reports would save further auditing and accounting costs. We reached out and met with numerous companies in hospitality, and FinTech regarding this service.
Our final project was working with an EV charging company. I made a set of initial designs to demonstrate what a loyalty platform app might look like. These designs led to an initial meeting. As talks progressed I made a set of designs for their charger hardware. After the second round of designs, talks lasted for a few months.
